Infection Control Workshop

This workshop has been mapped against CQC standards, KSF Dimensions and is run by approved instructors in accordance with best practice guidelines

Learning Outcomes

Every year at least 300,000 NHS patients develop healthcare associated infections (HCAI). Reducing HCAI and improving cleanliness across all healthcare settings is everyone’s business. The aim of this workshop is to highlight the principles of infection control within the healthcare setting. By the end of this workshop learners will understand the importance of infection prevention and control, familiarise themselves with infection risks and increase their knowledge base of the general principles of infection prevention and control measures. Learners will also get an opportunity to demonstrate correct hand hygiene procedures, understand correct use of Protective Personal Equipment and safe disposal procedures for clinical waste and sharps
